Well, just like that, 2022 is almost behind us. We hope you’ve had a good year; despite the knocks and challenges the world has thrown at us all over the past 12 months!
In keeping with tradition, and to set us up for 2023, we’ve put together a quick look back at what we’ve been up to across the Sharktower team.
First of all, our users have been busy. We’ve had over 20,000 work items created, 500 plans and 1,500 outcomes delivered – making this Sharktower’s busiest year yet!
Here’s what else has been going on:
January
At the very start of the year, in a “Whose idea was this?” moment, we changed our whole authentication method; allowing our customers to enable Single-Sign-On and MFA – giving them an extra layer of security. It was a big change, but we have no regrets!
February
In February, our Marketing team wheeled out all of their ‘We’re gonna need a bigger boat’ headlines, as Sharktower was acquired by change consultancy firm Proteus. As both companies are all about improving the way organisations manage change, it’s been a great match, and enabled us to keep improving Sharktower for our users (see below!).
March
As Spring rolled around, we launched email notifications – enabling users to keep up to date with what’s going on without having to login to Sharktower. Users now get notifications for things like task assignments, meeting invites, and being tagged in a comment.
May
Late spring brought new highs and lows – for risks & issues, that is. Our May update meant users could start to log ‘Very High’ and ‘Very Low’ Risks and Issues. This is great if you have a governance process that has a 5 by 5 structure. And if you have automated reporting, we can create

July

As the nation baked and everyone’s ice lollies melted, we introduced an easier way to capture data about your projects. This feature meant users could easily review and rebalance their portfolio by comparing project properties such as priority, the amount they’re expected to cost and the benefits they’re expected to deliver.
September and October
OK, yes, this update took a bit longer than the others, but it was worth the wait! In late summer we updated the Sharktower homepage to give you even more insights and stats to ensure your work is up to date. You can also favourite projects by clicking the star icon – which means those projects will be highlighted in various areas of the platform.

November
It doesn’t take a great memory to recall this update, which was created following direct customer feedback. As of last month, users can now add document attachments to work items. Keep losing the PID or Business Case? Have access issues across domains? Our document attachments are here to help, you can add any file to any work item
Have a fin-tastic festive break!
Thanks for being part of the Sharktower family – we love finding more ways to make managing projects that little bit simpler.
From our team to yours, we hope you have a very happy Christmas.
See you in 2023!
